SHORT COURSES

Abstract and Imaginary Landscape

While we can’t often take a trip to paint the Eiffel Tower in real life, this course offers the opportunity to compose imaginative landscapes right from the comfort of the classroom.

From fantastic places to futuristic cities or dream travel destinations, you will combine these various landscapes into a painting representing your feelings and desires. You will explore your subconscious and use places from your memories’ recesses and present-day surroundings to weave them into perspective-defying compositions.

Using sketches, photographs, and quick studies in oils, you will learn techniques required to imagine, plan for, draft, and execute imaginary landscape compositions in oil paints.
