Oceanic feeling is the first major survey of New Zealand artist Sriwhana Spong’s and Filipina artist Maria Taniguchi’s decade-long practices. The exhibition reflects on the two artists’ concerns with material, technological and natural processes, through sculpture, painting, film and video, and performance.

Susan Gibb, the curator of this exhibition, shared, "I hope that from this, the language of each work - the intelligence, porousness and resistance of each work's material, and how it is shaped, framed and observed - can lead people to an understanding of Maria's and Sriwhana's practices, their conceptual concerns and methodologies of working."

This exhibition runs from now until Sunday, 16 October 2016 at LASALLE's Institute of Contemporary Arts, Gallery 1.
